This program trains management to document disciplinary and performance matters in a factual, objective and legally defensible manner. Management also learns techniques to use feedback as a developmental tool. The objective of our Discipline and Performance Documentation course is to train management personnel to document disciplinary and performance matters in a factual, objective and legally defensible manner. Participants also learn techniques to use their performance feedback as an employee developmental tool. Key Highlights

We take the company performance evaluations and disciplinary forms and use them to design class content and exercises. Each class begins with a discussion on the sensitivities associated with performance and disciplinary documentation, emphasizing how a company’s documentation often forms the basis of lawsuits and huge jury awards. Our trainers use hands on demonstrations and tailored exercises to teach class participants techniques to document problematic information in a manner that will not subject them or the City to unwarranted liability or negative press. Participants work both alone and in break-out groups.


By the end of the course, each participate will have a full appreciation of sensitivities associated with their documentation and know how to separate facts from opinions and to document evaluations and disciplinary reports in an objective, factual and legally defensible manner.
